Introduction: When the Power Base Converter is used on a Genesis converted to think it's a Mega Drive, or simply used on a Mega Drive, SMS games will think they are being run not on a SMS, but on a Sega MK-III (the Japanese Master System). The following list is the list of titles I own, nearly the entire US library, and how they act when powered up on such a modified system. Since this was such a colossal waste of time, I figured I would share this information before someone else irrevocably wastes 3 hours of their life. How to convert a Genesis: If you are fortunate enough to own a Mega Drive, all you need is a power base converter. If you own a Genesis, it must be the older style. Modifying the Genesis is beyond the scope of this document, there are plenty of sites on the WWW that cover this topic. Look for modification FAQs discussing "country switch modifications". The List: A "-" means that nothing special occurred.
